PANKAJ K. GUPTA

Pankaj K. Gupta is the Founder partner and Chairman of SGC with over forty seven years of rich experience in practice. He is a visionary and under his guidance and stewardship SGC has earned a reputation as a single window professional service firm rendering excellent quality service.

He possesses high degree of professional competence in the areas of management and financial advisory services, Mergerâ€“Demergers, Amalgamation of Corporates and planning for takeover, Asset Securitization and Resolution of stressed assets of lending institutions.

VIPUL K. CHOKSI

Vipul K Choksi, Senior Partner is in charge of assurance & advisory practice and has experience of over thirty seven years as a practicing Chartered Accountant and has attained a high level of professional efficiency, thorough and specialised knowledge in the fields of Income Tax, Company Audits, Bank Audits, Company Law, and other allied matters in the Accounting Profession. In Merchant Banking, he has coordinated Euro Issue with International Lead Managers. He provides professional advice relating to tax planning to Individuals and Corporate Bodies.

His technical expertise includes carrying out audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and Auditing Standards followed in India. He has expert knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles followed in India (Indian GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

He is also a qualified Insolvency Professional and also acted as Resolution Professional (RP) for two corporate debtors.

He was the Chairman of Western India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the year 2002-03 and was first elected as a Member of the Regional Council in 1998. In the past he was/is the member of the Board of Studies (and its sub group for revision of CA syllabus) 2005-06 and Auditing & Assurance Standard Board 2008-09 and 2020-21 of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He was the convenor of the Study Group constituted by the Auditing and Assurance Standard Board for revision of Guidance note on Audit of Banks for 2009 & 2010 editions. Currently he is Council member of the Chamber of Tax Consultants and was the President of Chamber of Tax Consultants in the year 2019-20.

HENEEL K. PATEL

Heneel K. Patel is a partner with sound academic background, having experience of over twenty years, possesses sharp analytical skills and has expert knowledge on Accounting Standards, RBI Regulations, Corporate Laws and Direct Tax Laws. He is the lead engagement partner for statutory audits of large corporates of the firm (sectors like banking, housing finance, mutual funds, infrastructure, energy, steel, cement, aluminium, port), due diligence, business valuations. He heads Ind AS advisory service of the Firm and provides consultation relating to RBI Regulations, Ind AS related matters, corporate laws, tax planning.

His technical expertise includes carrying out audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing and Auditing Standards followed in India. He has expert knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles followed in India (Indian GAAP & Ind AS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Business valuations.

He was the Council member of the Chamber of Tax Consultants and was the founder Chairman of its Accounting and Auditing Committee and successfully led by organising relevant professional seminars including on Ind AS. He has also co-authored book named â€œNon-Banking Financial Companies â€“ A Treatiseâ€ published by the Bombay Chartered Accountantsâ€™ Society (BCAS). He is also empanelled as technical reviewer with Financial Reporting Review Board of ICAI. He was one of the contributors in two recent publications of the ICAI, Technical Guide of Audit of Internal Financial Controls in case of PS Banks and Technical Guide on revised LFAR.

He is a regular faculty for delivering lecture on Accounting and Auditing related topics and also contributes articles in professional journals.

VEDULA PRABHAKAR SHARMA

Vedula Prabhakar Sharma is a Partner involved in the internal & management audit Practice of the Firm. He has over 20 years of experience in providing service to several large clients, in particular textile, cement, engineering etc. His area of work includes management and internal audits, business advisory services, assisting management in identifying and assessment of various risks involved, identifying key performance indicators and suggest action plans to mitigate those risks and review of the same from time to time and due diligence reviews. He has also passed the Forensic Exam conducted by ICAI

He has expert knowledge in the field of internal, management and risk management audits and evaluating & drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

D.V. BALLAL

Mr. D.V. Ballal joined as a partner in 1999. Before joining the firm, he was a General Manager of Central Bank of India. His stint of over twenty-five years with the Bank has enriched him with diversified experience in the Banking Industry encompassing Credit Management, Recovery, Audit and Inspection, Accounts, Systems & Procedures, Investments, Risk Management, corporate governance etc.

He was associated with Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (Formerly I.I.B) as Chief Resource Person in the area of Financial Management and Management Accounting. He is regularly invited as guest faculty by various institutions in the areas of Bank Audit, Financial Management, Concurrent Audit etc.

Presently involved in assurance service of the Firm relating to financial sector.

ARPITA GADHIA

Arpita Gadhia is a partner with sound academic background, having expert knowledge on Accounting Standards and RBI Regulations. She is the engagement partner for statutory audits of large corporates of sectors like banking, housing finance, NBFCs and infrastructure/port.

Her technical expertise includes carrying out audits in accordance with Standards on Auditing followed in India. She has expert knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles followed in India (Indian GAAP & Ind AS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

She is the convenor of the Accounting and Auditing Committee of the Chamber of Tax Consultants.

PARTH PATEL

Mr. Parth Patel is a partner with sound academic background, having expert knowledge on Accounting Standards, Offerings (onshore/offshore), valuations and SEBI Regulations. He is the engagement partner for statutory audits of large corporates of sectors like Cement, Energy, Steel and infrastructure.

His technical expertise includes carrying out audits in accordance with Standards on Auditing followed in India. He has expert knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles followed in India (Indian GAAP & Ind AS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

He is active in various sports activities undertaken by ICAI/CTC/Other Organisations. He is awarded various medals / trophies by WIRC for his contribution to Cricket.

RAJEEV BANSAL

He is associated with SGC for three decades and independently manages the affairs of Firm's Delhi branch. He has experience in the areas of Audit & Assurance, advisory service on corporate matters and direct tax laws and financial advisory service. He has attained a high level of professional standard and competence.

He is also qualified Insolvency Professional and has also passed the Forensic exam conducted by ICAI

BHARAT VASANI

Mr. Bharat Vasani is having post qualification experience of more than thirty-five years and he specializes in Direct and Indirect Tax Laws especially GST & VAT. He heads the Tax practice of the Firm involving advisory and compliances. His Firm Vasani and Associates was merged with our Firm with effect from 1st January 2018.

He was Convenor of Goregaon CPE study circle of WIRC-ICAI and also has been faculty at various forum for lecture on GST Laws.

VIPUL DHULLA

Mr. Vipul Dhulla has post qualification experience of more than fifteen years and is also DISA qualified. Having worked with ICICI Bank for more than five years, he started his own practice. He was associated with our Firm and has merged with our Firm from 1st January 2018. His forte is system audits, management and internal audits.

CHINTAN VASANI

Mr. Chintan Vasani has post qualification experience of nine years and specializes in Audits including Bank audits and tax compliances. He is DISA qualified and has also passed the Forensic Exam conducted by ICAI. He was Partner of Vasani & Associates and upon its merger has become Partner of our Firm with effect from 1st January 2018. He has been faculty at direct tax seminars conducted by WIRC-ICAI and it's Study circles.
